Richard
Richard Jacob is an architect, designer, and strategist with extensive experience of shaping cities, campuses, innovation and educational environments around the world. He has collaborated with global clients, multidisciplinary teams, and civic stakeholders to deliver large-scale, high-impact developments that balance innovation, social value and cultural significance.
Richard’s approach is grounded in the belief that design is a social and political act, that spatial decisions shape lives, and that equitable, collaborative processes lead to better outcomes. He works across sectors, regularly contributing to dialogues on education design, innovation districts, participatory planning, and spatial justice.
In 2025, Richard launched coLARGE as a space for innovation, experimentation, co-creation, and shared leadership in the social and built environments. His work through the platform focuses on bringing together community voices, cultural insight, and design strategy to generate regenerative, inclusive urban transformation and initiatives. From grassroots interventions to strategic frameworks, coLARGE explores new ways of designing with people to create better urban environments and better opportunities for all.
